GOOD TRY: A birthday party for residents in their 90's took place at the Village in San Luis Obispo. Ben Bertram tried to blow out the candles, cheered on by, from left, Irene Cockrill, Ella Childress and Mary Needham. The candles were trick and wouldn't blow out.
