Eleanor was an only child. Her parents were:
Father: Henry Arthur Cole, born in New York City, April 21, 1893 and died in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1948. Henry's father's name is believed to be David Cole of Germany. His mother's name is believed to be Anna Roth, also of Germany.
Mother: Rose Marie Mandy, born in New York, died in Los Angeles in 1956.

The Cole family name was originally Cohen. We're not aware of when/where Cohen became Cole.
